Who shows what

IPTV for sports: the four Canadian sports networks

Canadian sports rights are split two ways in each language. In English, national and regional games go to Sportsnet (Rogers) and TSN (Bell). In French, they go to RDS (Bell) and TVA Sports (Quebecor). On cable, TSN and Sportsnet are optional extras on top of the basic package. With Diablos IPTV all four are in the same subscription.

League by league

NHL IPTV in Canada: English and French

Hockey is the reason most Canadians care about a sports line-up, and it is also the most split-up league on TV. Here is where to look in 2026-27.

NHL in English

English national and regional NHL broadcasts are split between Sportsnet and TSN. Sportsnet has four regional feeds (Ontario, East, West and Pacific) plus Sportsnet One and 360, and TSN has five channels. All of them are in the sports group of your guide, so whichever one has your team tonight, you have it too. The city guides show which feeds carry the home team: the Leafs in Toronto, the Canucks in Vancouver and the Flames in Calgary.

NHL in French: the 2026-27 split

French hockey changed this season. On September 3, 2026, TVA Sports signed a 12-year sublicence for the national French package, running to 2037-38. RDS keeps the regional French rights to the Canadiens.

BroadcasterFrench NHL games in 2026-27
TVA SportsUp to 350 regular-season games, including 32 Canadiens games; every Canadiens playoff game; the conference finals; the Stanley Cup Final
RDS45 Canadiens regular-season games (regional French rights)
Prime VideoA separate national Wednesday-night package of 27 games, in English and French, for Prime members only. Streaming-only, so not on any TV channel

For a Canadiens fan, that means watching both RDS and TVA Sports, and accepting that Wednesday games on Prime Video sit outside any TV guide. RDS and TVA Sports broadcast in French only.

NFL on IPTV

NFL games air on Canadian and US network feeds, and both are in the guide. On a busy Sunday, different games run on different networks at the same time, so search the guide for the team name before kickoff.

NBA: the Raptors and more

Raptors games are on TSN and Sportsnet. If tonight’s game is not on one, check the other, or search the guide for the team name.

MLB: the Blue Jays

Blue Jays games are on Sportsnet. Put the Sportsnet feeds in your favourites and the game is a click away all season.

CFL in English and French

The CFL is on TSN in English and on RDS or RDS 2 in French. When two games overlap, the French broadcast of the second one often moves to RDS 2.

Soccer

OneSoccer sits in the Canadian sports group. For other competitions, coverage depends on who holds the rights in each country. The international groups for 60+ countries add more options, such as beIN in the Arabic group, so search the guide for the match.

Formula 1

RDS has exclusive French-language F1 rights in Canada for 2026, so French race coverage is on RDS. For English coverage, search the guide for the race on the weekend.

UFC, boxing and other PPV events

PPV events such as UFC and boxing are included on every plan, at no extra cost. There is nothing to buy event by event and nothing to unlock.

Game night

Where is the game tonight? A one-minute method

With 30,000+ channels, the fastest way to a game is a routine. This one works for every league.

  1. Check the broadcasterLook at your team’s broadcast listing for the night. It names the network: Sportsnet, TSN, RDS, TVA Sports, CBC or a US network.
  2. Open the sports groupGo straight to the Canadian sports group in the guide instead of scrolling the full list.
  3. Read the guide rowScroll the guide for that network’s channels. The game title shows in the slot for the start time, as long as your time zone is set correctly.
  4. Search the team nameIf you can’t spot it, use the app’s guide search with the team or city name.
  5. Check the overflow channelsIf the main channel shows another game, look at RDS 2, TVA Sports 2 or the other Sportsnet regional feeds.
  6. Ask usStill stuck? Message support on WhatsApp, 9 am to 11 pm Eastern, every day.

Busy nights

Tips for overlapping games

Hockey and football nights pile up. When two games overlap, the second one often goes to a “2” channel (RDS 2, TVA Sports 2) or to a Sportsnet regional feed. A little prep makes those nights easy.

  • Favourite the overflow channels. Add RDS 2, TVA Sports 2 and all four Sportsnet regional feeds to your favourites, so the second game is one click away.
  • Use a second screen. Your plan’s device count is the number of screens that can stream at once. On a 2-device plan or larger, one game can play on the TV and another on a tablet or a second TV.
  • Watch the other game later. On supported channels, 7-day catch-up lets you play the game you missed from the start.
  • Mind your bandwidth. Two 4K streams need about 50 Mbps between them. If your connection is tight, run one in HD.

Plans for 2, 3 and 4 devices are on the pricing page.

Stability

Priority sports servers

Sports channels run on dedicated priority servers, separate from the rest of the list. Live games are the moment everyone in the country tunes in at once, so the sports channels get their own capacity.

Your own connection still matters. Plan on about 10 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 Mbps for each 4K stream. A wired Ethernet connection is more stable than Wi-Fi, which is worth knowing for a playoff game. 4K is available where the source broadcasts in 4K. Device-by-device setup and Wi-Fi tips are on the devices page.

Honest limits

What sports IPTV won’t show

  • Prime Video Wednesday NHL games. The 27-game national Wednesday-night package is streaming-only for Prime members. It is not on any TV channel, so it is not in our guide.
  • Other streaming-only content. Anything that airs only inside a streaming app, with no TV channel behind it, can’t be in a TV guide.
  • Your choice of commentary language. Audio follows the broadcaster. RDS and TVA Sports are French only; TSN and Sportsnet are English.
  • Catch-up beyond 7 days. Older games drop out of the archive after one week.

The full list of what is and isn’t included is on the channel list page. The best test is a real game night on your own TV during the free 24-hour trial.

Sports is one part of our IPTV Canada line-up, which also covers every major Canadian network, French channels and 60+ countries.

FAQ

Sports and NHL IPTV questions

Does Diablos IPTV have TSN and Sportsnet?

Yes, on every plan: TSN 1 to 5, Sportsnet Ontario, East, West and Pacific, Sportsnet One, 360 and World. RDS, RDS 2, RDS Info and TVA Sports 1 to 3 are included too.

Where are Canadiens games in French in 2026-27?

TVA Sports has the national French package, including 32 Canadiens regular-season games, every Canadiens playoff game, the conference finals and the Stanley Cup Final. RDS has 45 Canadiens regular-season games. Both channels are included.

Are the Prime Video Wednesday NHL games included?

No. Prime Video’s 27-game Wednesday-night package is streaming-only for Prime members and is not on any TV channel, so it is not in our guide.

Do I pay extra for UFC or boxing PPV?

No. PPV events such as UFC and boxing are included on every plan.

Can I watch two games at the same time?

Yes, on a plan with 2 or more devices. Each device in your plan is one screen that can stream at the same moment.

What internet speed do I need for sports in 4K?

About 25 Mbps for each 4K stream and about 10 Mbps for each HD stream. A wired connection is more stable than Wi-Fi.

Can I watch a game I missed?

On channels that support catch-up, yes. Catch-up keeps 7 days, so you can play last night’s game from the start.
