Watching the Flames without cable
Calgary Flames regional games belong to Rogers. They air on Sportsnet in the Sportsnet West region, which takes in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Nationally televised English games also go to Sportsnet, which holds national English NHL rights through 2037-38. If you would rather hear the game in French, the national French package moved to TVA Sports for 2026-27.
One package sits outside all of that. Prime Video has a national Wednesday-night deal of 27 games, available to Prime members in the Prime Video app only. Those games are on no TV channel, so they cannot appear in our guide or anyone else’s.
A favourites list for game night
When two games overlap, the second one often moves to another Sportsnet regional feed or to a “2” channel such as TVA Sports 2. A short favourites list handles that: Sportsnet West first, then the other three regional feeds, Sportsnet One and 360, TSN 1 to 5 and TVA Sports 1 to 3. On a plan with two or more screens, one game can play on the TV while the other runs on a tablet in the kitchen.
On cable, Sportsnet and TSN are optional extras added on top of the basic package. Here they come with every plan, along with RDS and TVA Sports. Because every Sportsnet regional feed is in the guide, a Calgarian who follows a team from another region finds that feed by name too. The sports page covers each league.
Time zone
Mountain time and the TV guide
Two hours behind Eastern
Calgary is on Mountain time. A broadcast listed for 7 pm Eastern starts at 5 pm here, and a 10 pm Eastern start is 8 pm. When your device or player app is set to a different zone, the guide slides by hours and the game you want looks like it is on at the wrong time. Set Mountain once and the guide is right from then on.
Support is open 9 am to 11 pm Eastern, so 7 am to 9 pm in Calgary, seven days a week, in English and French.
Afternoon starts are easy to miss on a workday. On supported channels, 7-day catch-up lets you play a game from the beginning after you get home.
Local channels
Calgary’s local and national feeds
- CTV Calgary, run by Bell Media
- Global Calgary, run by Corus
- Citytv, run by Rogers
- CBC with every regional feed
- APTN
- CTV News Channel, CBC News Network, CPAC
If you used the CTV app
Bell Media retired the standalone CTV app on May 1, 2026 and moved CTV content into Crave. CTV Calgary as a live channel is unaffected and stays in the guide.
Plans
How much does IPTV cost in Calgary?
The same price applies anywhere in Canada. Choose how many screens play at once, then the length. Totals are in Canadian dollars with tax included.
| Screens at once | 1 month | 12 months | 12 months, per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $18 | $78 | $6.50 |
| 2 | $28 | $128 | $10.67 |
| 3 | $38 | $178 | $14.83 |
| 4 | $48 | $198 | $16.50 |
Three and six-month terms are on the pricing page. Every plan has the same channels; no setup fee, no rented equipment, no auto-renewal. A breakdown of the extra costs to plan for, like a streaming stick or a paid player app, is in what IPTV costs in Canada.
Internet
Telus, Rogers and the speed you need
IPTV Calgary service from us runs on whichever provider brings internet into your home. For most people here that is Telus or Rogers, and anyone who was with Shaw is now a Rogers customer, since Rogers bought Shaw in April 2023. We make no claim about either network’s quality.
What matters is the speed at the TV: roughly 10 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 Mbps for each 4K stream. A wired Ethernet link holds up better than Wi-Fi when the whole house is online.
Be aware
Where IPTV falls short
- No internet, no TV. An outage at home stops the stream.
- Streaming-only content is missing. Prime Video Wednesday games and Crave originals have no channel to put in a guide.
- One week of catch-up. After 7 days a program leaves the archive.
- French broadcasts stay French. TVA Sports and RDS have no English audio track.
The rest of the line-up
Beyond the Alberta feeds, every plan includes US networks and premium channels, UK channels and an on-demand library of movies and series. The international section covers 60+ countries, with groups such as Filipino (GMA, Kapamilya Channel), South Asian (Zee TV, Sony, PTC Punjabi), Spanish and Latin American (Univision, Telemundo), Portuguese (RTP, SIC) and Polish (TVP, Polsat). Search the guide by country name to jump straight to a group.
