IPTV Edmonton: Oilers, Elks and local channels

IPTV Edmonton households can watch every televised Oilers game through Diablos IPTV: regional games on Sportsnet West, national English games on Sportsnet, French broadcasts on TVA Sports. Elks games are on TSN, and CTV Edmonton and Global Edmonton cover local news. All of it streams over your current internet, whether that is Telus or Rogers, with no box to rent. A 12-month plan for one screen is $78, and a 24-hour trial is free.

  • Oilers on Sportsnet West
  • Elks on TSN
  • CTV and Global Edmonton
  • 7-day catch-up

Oilers

Which channel has the Oilers tonight?

NHL rights in Canada come in layers, and each layer has its own channel. Match the type of broadcast to the channel and you will find any Oilers game in seconds.

Type of broadcastChannelIn our guide?
Regional English gameSportsnet, Sportsnet West region (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba)Yes, every plan
National English gameSportsnet (Rogers holds national English rights through 2037-38)Yes, every plan
National French gameTVA Sports, under a 12-year sublicence signed September 3, 2026Yes, French audio only
Wednesday-night national packagePrime Video, 27 games, streaming-only for Prime membersNo, it is on no TV channel

Do not look for Oilers games on CBC. In June 2026 CBC confirmed it would no longer sublicense NHL coverage from Rogers. For playoff runs and overlapping games, keep all four Sportsnet regional feeds in your favourites, since the second game often lands on another regional feed. The sports guide has the full rights picture.

Football

Elks games and the rest of the CFL

In English

The Edmonton Elks, like every CFL team, are on TSN. With TSN 1 to 5 in the guide, it does not matter which of the five carries a given game; they are all on your plan.

En français

French CFL broadcasts go to RDS or RDS 2. When two games run at once, the French call of the second often moves to RDS 2.

Other teams

The Stampeders, Roughriders, Blue Bombers, BC Lions, Argonauts, Tiger-Cats, Redblacks and Alouettes all play on the same TSN channels, so a whole CFL weekend fits in one favourites row.

Missed kickoff?

Catch-up keeps 7 days on supported channels. Start the game from the opening kick once you are home.

Bandwidth

How much internet does an Edmonton home need for IPTV?

Most homes here get internet from Telus or Rogers. If you were with Shaw, you are a Rogers customer now, since Rogers bought Shaw in April 2023. Diablos IPTV streams over either one, and we make no claim about how either network performs. Size your plan against this table instead, built on our guidance of about 10 Mbps per HD stream and 25 Mbps per 4K stream.

Screens streaming togetherAll in HDAll in 4K
1about 10 Mbpsabout 25 Mbps
2about 20 Mbpsabout 50 Mbps
3about 30 Mbpsabout 75 Mbps
4about 40 Mbpsabout 100 Mbps

For context, the CRTC‘s universal service objective for Canadian homes is 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. Upload barely matters for watching TV. The number to check is the download speed measured on the TV itself, since Wi-Fi loses speed through walls and floors. If the reading there is low, an Ethernet cable to the streaming box usually solves it. Our internet speed guide walks through the test.

Matching screens to a plan

The table doubles as a plan picker. Picture a playoff night with the game on the main TV, a second TV downstairs and a phone: that is three screens at once, which means a 3-device plan ($178 for 12 months, $14.83 a month) and roughly 30 Mbps in HD. A single viewer needs only the 1-device plan at $78 a year. Every IPTV Edmonton plan carries the same channels, PPV events and sports servers; only the screen count changes.

Local TV

Edmonton news and network feeds

Search the guide for “Edmonton” and two local stations come up: CTV Edmonton from Bell Media and Global Edmonton from Corus. Around them sit Citytv, the CBC regional feeds, APTN and the national news channels: CTV News Channel, CBC News Network, BNN Bloomberg and CPAC.

Two app changes may affect how you watched before. Bell Media retired the standalone CTV app on May 1, 2026, moving CTV content to Crave, and Global’s app is being renamed StackTV. Neither change touches the live channels in our guide.

For French TV, ICI Radio-Canada Télé, TVA, Noovo, Télé-Québec, LCN and RDI are on every plan. Lifestyle and kids’ channels such as HGTV Canada, Food Network Canada, Treehouse and YTV are there too, and the channel list shows the rest.

Mountain time

Following a team from somewhere else

Edmonton runs on Mountain time, two hours behind Eastern. Set the time zone on your device or player app to Mountain, or every guide listing will be off by hours.

That two-hour gap is handy if you also cheer for an Eastern team. A Leafs or Senators game starting at 7 pm Eastern is on at 5 pm here. Regional rights follow each team’s home region, and Diablos IPTV carries every TSN channel and every Sportsnet regional feed in the guide on every plan. So the Leafs are on Sportsnet Ontario or TSN4, the Senators on TSN’s regional feeds, and the Canucks on Sportsnet in the Pacific region, all reachable by name from your living room.

Support answers on WhatsApp from 7 am to 9 pm Mountain (9 am to 11 pm Eastern), every day.

FAQ

Questions from Edmonton viewers

Are Oilers games on CBC this season?

No. In June 2026 CBC confirmed it would no longer sublicense NHL coverage from Rogers. National English games are on Sportsnet, and regional games are on Sportsnet West.

Yes, for games in the national French package on TVA Sports. TVA Sports 1 to 3 are included on every plan.

Is CTV Edmonton included?

Yes, together with Global Edmonton, Citytv and every CBC regional feed.

How many screens can I use?
