One warning about IPTV Smarters
The IPTV Smarters developer site (iptvsmarters.com) is offline, and look-alike download sites exist. We never send customers to download Smarters APK files, and you should avoid them too. Stick to the apps above or the one we name for your device.
Fire TV
IPTV on a Firestick in Canada: setup steps
The Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube plug into any TV with an HDMI port, which makes them an easy way to add IPTV to an older TV. On Fire TV you install the player app with the Downloader app, after one settings change.
Check your stick first. The 2026 Fire TV Stick 4K, the 2026 Fire TV Stick HD and the Fire TV Stick 4K Select run Amazon’s Vega OS and cannot install player apps. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max does. Our Firestick guide lists every model.
- Install DownloaderOn the Fire TV home screen, search for “Downloader” and install it from the Amazon Appstore.
- Turn on Developer options if you don’t see themGo to Settings › My Fire TV. If Developer options is missing, open About, highlight Fire TV Stick and press select 7 times. Developer options then appears.
- Allow unknown sources for DownloaderIn Settings › My Fire TV › Developer options, allow apps from unknown sources for the Downloader app.
- Install the playerOpen Downloader and enter the link for the player app we send you on WhatsApp. Don’t use links from look-alike sites.
- Enter your loginOpen the player and enter the login details exactly as we sent them, from the free trial or your paid plan.

Android TV and Google TV boxes
This covers boxes such as Chromecast with Google TV and NVIDIA Shield. TiviMate is the player we recommend.
- Open the app store on the boxSearch for TiviMate, or for the app named in your setup message, and install it.
- Add your loginOpen the app and enter the login details we send, exactly as written. Check each character twice, because a single typo stops the login from working.
- Load the guideWait for channels and the TV guide to finish loading the first time.

Smart TVs
IPTV on a Samsung or LG smart TV
Samsung smart TVs from 2015 onward (Tizen) and LG smart TVs (webOS) run IPTV through a player app from the TV’s own store, with no box needed. These player apps charge their own fees.

Can’t find IPTV Smarters on your Samsung?
Some 2024 and newer Samsung models no longer list IPTV Smarters Pro in the store (reported on the Samsung Community in August 2024). Use one of the apps above instead, and don’t go looking for a Smarters download elsewhere.
Apple
Apple TV, iPhone and iPad
Apple devices use a player app from the App Store. There are several; we tell you which one to install when you message us.

- Add your other Apple devicesThe same login can go on your iPhone and iPad too. Only as many screens as your plan allows can stream at once.

MAG and Formuler boxes connect through a portal. Our support team handles the portal setup with you.

Connection
Internet speed and Wi-Fi tips
Our recommendation is about 10 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 Mbps for each 4K stream. Add them up for the screens you use at the same time: two HD screens need about 20 Mbps, one 4K and one HD about 35 Mbps.
- Go wired where you can. Wired Ethernet is more stable than Wi-Fi. A TV or box near the router is worth a cable.
- Test speed on the device itself. A speed test on your phone next to the router says little about the TV two rooms away.
- Bring the signal closer. If the TV is far from the router, move the router or improve the Wi-Fi in that room.
Guide times
Guide showing the wrong times? Fix the time zone
A guide that is off by hours means the time zone is wrong on the device or in the player app. In Québec and Ontario, set it to Eastern.
- Check the device clockOpen the device settings and confirm the time zone matches where you live.
- Check the appSome player apps have their own time or guide setting. Make sure it agrees with the device.
- Reload the guideRestart the app so the guide refreshes with the right times.
Troubleshooting
How to fix IPTV buffering
Most buffering comes from the connection between your router and your device. Work through these in order.
- Test one channel against anotherIf only one channel stutters, tell us which one. If every channel does, the issue is likely the connection.
- Restart the device and the routerUnplug both for 30 seconds.
- Check the speed on that deviceAim for about 10 Mbps per HD stream and 25 Mbps per 4K stream.
- Switch to wired or move closerEthernet, or a shorter distance to the router, fixes most Wi-Fi buffering.
- Count the screensMake sure no more screens are streaming than your plan allows. Sharing a login beyond the plan’s device count can get it suspended.
- Send us a photoMessage support on WhatsApp with a photo of the screen or error. We answer 9 am to 11 pm Eastern, every day, in English and French.

Which app should I use on a Fire TV Stick?
We recommend TiviMate. You install it with the Downloader app after allowing unknown sources in Developer options, and we send the link on WhatsApp.
Do I have to pay for a player app on a Samsung or LG TV?
Usually, yes, and the fee goes to the app developer. Smart IPTV costs a one-time €5.49 per TV. IBO Player and SET IPTV offer a 7-day trial, then ask for activation per device.
Why can’t I find IPTV Smarters on my Samsung TV?
Some 2024 and newer Samsung models no longer list IPTV Smarters Pro in the store. Use Smart IPTV, IBO Player or SET IPTV instead, and avoid Smarters downloads from other sites.
Can I install Diablos IPTV on more devices than my plan allows?
You can install the app on more devices, as long as only your plan’s number of screens stream at the same time. Sharing a login beyond that can get it suspended.
Why is my TV guide showing the wrong times?
The time zone on the device or in the player app is wrong. Set it correctly (Eastern for Québec and Ontario) and restart the app.
